Let’s talk a bit about the quality of this boom arm. It’s important when purchasing a boom arm that you find something high in quality to help prevent any unnecessary noises intruding your audio mix while streaming. Typically, we have suggested the Elgato Low Profile Boom Arm in the past because of the quality and design. Of course you can purchase a $20 Boom arm off amazon and get sub-par results, if that’s what you are looking for. It’s our personal belief that spending extra on a quality boom arm will help improve the quality of your stream. Not to mention the number of issues it eliminates.. such as, spring noises, breaking parts, instability, etc.

This product features a really unique system of swivels making it so you can manuvuer the arm in almost anyway that you want. Because of this it is both a standard boom arm and a low profile boom arm. You can twist it and bend it to reach almost any location.
Cable Management
The boom arm comes equipped with built-in cable management making it easy for you to nicely organize the cables needed for the microphone to operate.
Threads
Seems silly but it comes with both a 1/4″ thread and 5/8″ thread for either your Microphone or Camera depending on your use-case. You simply unscrew the 5/8″ thread to access the 1/4″ thread.
Weight
This boom arm will hold up to 3.6lbs which is great for heavier DSLR Camera’s.. However, they do mention it doesn’t guarantee stable support for heavy DSLR Cameras with Heavy Lenses.
